‘Your Home for a Long Time’: Kelly O’Donnell Hits Back at Trump Calling NBC ‘One of the Worst Networks on Television’

An NBC reporter fired back at President Donald Trump as he bashed the network as “one of the worst on television.”

The exchange occurred as Trump took questions from reporters as he sat with Ireland Prime Minister Micheál Martin at the White House.

The president’s demeanor turned hostile when NBC’s White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell asked about the administration’s “inconsistencies.”

Check out the exchange here:

TRUMP: There is no inconsistency. Only with NBC, which is one of the worst networks on television, by the way-

O’DONNELL: It was your home for many years.

TRUMP: Let me just tell you the inconsistency. I have the right, I have the right to adjust — and I was called by the automakers, as an example, general motors, Ford, et cetera, the big three, the big four, and they asked me to do them a favor. Could I delay it for a period of four weeks? So that they are not driven into a little bit of a disaster for them? They actually love what I am doing, but they had a problem. And I am not like a block adjust, I won’t delay. It’s called flexibility. It is not called inconsistency.
It is called flexibility. You want me to be flexible, too.

The Trump administration has come under scrutiny on both sides of the political spectrum over inconsistencies with tariffs imposed on Mexico and Canada.

In a March 7 editorial, the Wall Street Journal argued that “someone should sue” the Trump administration over the massive tariffs, excoriating Trump for treating the North American economy as his “personal plaything.”

That same day, Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo challenged Trump over his tariff policies, insisting that CEOs are not happy with the lack of “predictability” on international trade presented by his White House so far.
