Bill Maher Admits To Kid Rock He Doesn’t ‘Know If We’ll Ever See a Democrat President Again’

Bill Maher admitted during a discussion with Kid Rock that he’s not sure we will “ever see a Democrat president again.”

Rock, real name Richard James Ritchie, joined Maher for Monday’s Club Random podcast and during a disagreement about the 2020 presidential election, Maher said Democrats are losing ground even on debates they should be winning.

“Bob, you lose me when you go there,” Maher told Rock as he declared he and others won’t be convinced there were no “shenanigans” behind former President Joe Biden’s 2020 victory over President Donald Trump.

Maher responded by noting there is no proof of the widespread election fraud Trump and some of his followers have pushed over the years. Besides, he added, coming back to the White House after losing in 2020 only makes Trump “more legendary.”

The Real Time host admitted he’s not sure about Democrats taking the top office again because so many are convinced it will “ruin” the country.

He also surprised his guest when he declared he’d “like someone like” Trump in his political corner because he knows how to “get what he wants.” Maher said his major hangups on Trump include his meme usage and “not conceding elections.”

According to Rock, he’s set up a dinner between Maher and Trump at the White House for this month. He said on Club Random that he believes the pair would be quick friends.

Check out the exchange below:

BILL MAHER: “He lost an election. Was every one a hit record? No. Does every one of my jokes land? No. You lose a few and it’s just a better story and it would make me breathe a lot easier because I’m not sure that this crowd is every going to give — I don’t know if we’ll ever see a Democrat president again because I just don’t think that they are of a mind that that can happen without it ruining the country, so they convince themselves they have to do it. They don’t want to do it, they just have to do it because otherwise a Democrat will get [in].”

KID ROCK: “Monkey see, monkey do too.”

MAHER: “Meaning?”

ROCK: “Meaning somebody starts something and you see the talkings points come out, like the cops or the White House, this, that, and the other. Everyone gets on the same talking points. They use them a lot in the news now. Everybody’s talking this, they’re saying this, the end of — what is the big one now, it’s constitutional something or other.”

MAHER: “The reason the Democrats have a hard time prosecuting this case and making Americans care as much as they should have is because there’s a version, a slighter, less damaging, less threatening to the Constitution version of all of it that the Democrats know. Everything is a slippery slope. Trump’s a king! Yeah, they all try to act like kings to a degree. These people just take it to a different degree and also the Democrats do draw the line at when they lose an election, they just quit. They quit quick. I mean, Kamala Harris was in like the Bahamas on Thursday. I mean, they just [go], okay, we lost, get out of town, we’ll try again next year, no big deal.”

ROCK: “‘Will you pardon your son?’ ‘No.'”

MAHER: “Again, you have not an untrue point. That was a horrible hypocrisy. Again, doesn’t have anything to do with he doesn’t conceded elections.”
