Carville Claims ‘Wealthy Jewish’ Donors Using Antisemitism as BS Excuse to Refuse Dems Money: ‘Just Want Their F**king Tax Cut’
James Carville claimed some “wealthy Jewish” donors are currently refusing to cut checks for the Democratic Party and are using campus antisemitism as an excuse.
On his Politics War Room podcast this week, Carville told co-host Al Hunt that some wealthy Jewish donors are using instances of antisemitism on college campuses amid the Israel-Hamas war as an excuse to not support Democrats when what they really want are tax cuts from Republicans. Schools like Columbia have been hit with massive pro-Palestinian protests amid the Israel-Hamas war with complaints of instances of antisemitism in these demonstrations.
Carville argued:
I hear this all the time, a lot of you’ve got to try and raise money from really wealthy Jewish fundraisers. And they say, look, James, I’m a Democrat, but I can’t be a part of a party because of what happened at Columbia.
What the fuck did the Democrats have to do with what happened in Columbia, by the way? But you know, because they have some students at Columbia generally made an ass of themselves, well, I can’t do that, but I can be for a party that everybody endorses the Alternative for Deutschland (refering to the far-right German party).
Carville then argued that these donors just want tax cuts. President Donald Trump’s current budget, which he calls the “Big Beautiful Bill,” includes an extension of his 2017 tax cuts. Carville made clear he was not referring to all Jewish donors, arguing most “see right through that.”
“My instinct is, and they tell me that, they look me right in the eye,” the longtime Democratic strategist said. “No, you just want your fucking tax cut. That doesn’t apply to most people, most Jewish people see right through that, but the ones that don’t see through it, they just don’t really, at the end of the day, they just want their fucking tax cuts.”
