Jasmine Crockett Claims ICE Is Just Supposed To Be a ‘Fancy Uber Driver’ for Illegal Migrants

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) claimed in an interview with California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) that ICE agents are supposed to be glorified “Uber drivers” instead of carrying out mass raids.

Crockett joined Newsom on his This Is Gavin Newsom podcast this week where she revealed that she believes ICE’s function is mainly to act as a transportation system of sorts for illegal migrants.

The congresswoman referred to ICE as Trump’s “personal army” and suggested many being recruited are not up to the standards of other law enforcement officers. According to Crockett, local law enforcement should be investigating and detaining illegal migrants and ICE is “nothing but a ride.”

“ICE for the most part is nothing but a ride. That’s all they were supposed to do for the most part, right? It’s like, you know what? This person is undocumented or this person re-enters the country illegally, all the things, and then they have an ICE hold, and then ICE gets them so that they can then send them out. That’s all ICE is supposed to do, look at them as a fancy Uber driver for immigrants,” Crockett said.

The Texas lawmaker argued current ICE raids make the country look like a “joke.”

“Now they’re running into places, doing raids, and they’re falling all over each other, injuring each other. Like we are a joke, but it is a bad nightmare of a joke. And so I don’t think that this president has any limits that he won’t go to.” she said.

During the podcast, Crockett also slammed President Donald Trump and MAGA supporters as the most “unpatriotic” Americans, urging Democrats to “take” the flag back.

“I am telling you right now that the most unpatriotic people that we have in this country are MAGA and this president,” she said. “We are the real patriots. And it is time for us to take our flag back and show people what America is about.”
