Liberal Podcaster Warns Trump’s Relationship with ‘Mentally Unhinged’ Aide Is a ‘National Security Risk’

Left-wing podcaster Jennifer Welch made the case Wednesday that President Donald Trump’s close relationship with Natalie Harp posed a “national security risk.”

Harp, the executive assistant to the president, has become the subject of a recent media frenzy after her name was invoked in a speech Sunday by Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA), after Ossoff claimed at a campaign rally that Trump preferred to travel “with Natalie” rather than do his job.

Since then, more details have emerged regarding Harp’s role within Trump’s inner circle.

A former anchor at One America News, the 35-year-old is known for her unwavering loyalty to the president. When she was first appointed as executive assistant at the start of Trump’s second term, it was reported that she wrote the president a series of deeply personal “devotional letters.”

Welch, co-host of the podcast I’ve Had It, called Harp “mentally unhinged” and argued why her presence at the White House could be dangerous.

“All of this Natalie stuff is a distraction except for one point,” Welch said. “If we have a mentally unhinged woman, a 35-year-old woman, completely razor-focused, obsessed with Donald Trump, sends him crazy letters like, ‘I always want to be so important to you,’ all this crazy sh*t that’s been reported– it’s a national security risk because we know he’s in his deathbed confession era.

“And he’s over there acting like a nut at all times. What we see on television, that’s his best foot forward. Imagine what’s happening behind camera. Well, Natalie knows all of that stuff. So, does she have compromising information on him? So Democrats, start attacking her from that angle, as well,” Welch said.

Ossoff has since received significant pushback from conservatives, who have called him a “sexist” and accused him of insinuating Harp and Trump were involved in an affair. Bill O’Reilly even claimed he’d vote for Russian President Vladimir Putin before ever voting for Ossoff in an election.
