TIME Magazine Trolls Trump With Latest Cover: ‘China Won’

President Donald Trump has been known to pay a lot of attention to TIME Magazine covers — he had fake ones drawn up of himself, and reportedly fumed for months over another depicting Steve Bannon as his “manipulator — and the latest issue is sure to ruffle his come-over.

“China Won” blares the cover, in both English and Chinese. The issue features a piece by Ian Bremmer, the president of the Eurasia Group and a frequent guest on Fox News and Fox Business Network.

Bremmer tweeted out the cover on Friday morning, along with a “#AmericaSecond” hashtag:

Yes, Trump has more @TIME covers (even a fake one!).

But here’s one the President can’t claim: the 1st ever TIME cover in two languages. #AmericaSecond? pic.twitter.com/pPdMp8IWkc

Bremmer’s piece comes as the Trump administration prepares to embark on a ten-day trip to Asia, with stops in Japan, South Korea and China. In it Bremmer argues that Trump “arrives at a moment when China, not the U.S., is the single most powerful actor in the global economy.”
