Trump Senior Advisor Gives Interview to Russian Propaganda Outlet

Donald Trump senior advisor Anthony Scaramucci gave a long-ranging interview to Russian state-owned wire service TASS Tuesday.

“What the new American president is saying is that he has an enormous respect for the Russian people and the legacy of the relationship that the US has with Russia, which dates back to the Second World War,” Scaramucci told them.

“He has enormous respect for the Russian people and Russian culture and so he is signaling that, hopefully, whatever the hostilities may be, perhaps we can improve them over the coming years,” he continued.

Trump himself became the first U.S. presidential candidate to appear on Russian state-owned RT America in September of 2015. The campaign later insisted that Trump’s appearance was inadvertent.
