Charles Barkley Trashes San Francisco During All-Star Game Broadcast: ‘Bunch of Homeless Crooks’

Charles Barkley didn’t hold back on his brutal assessment of San Francisco, which will host the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in 2025.

During Sunday night’s All-Star Game — which took place in Indianapolis, Indiana — Barkley was part of an alternate broacast on TruTV that included Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green and reporter Taylor Rooks. That alternate broadcast briefly joined the main broadcast on TNT at the end of the third quarter.

During the chat between the two announce teams, Green told Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller that the league should not bring its All-Star festivities back to Indiana.

According to Barkley, however, it could be much worse.

“Hey Reggie,” Barkley said, “if you had a chance to be in cold or being around a bunch of homeless crooks in San Francisco, what would you choose?”

Barkley’s colleagues groaned at the comments, and Rooks tried to soften the blow by saying, “We love San Francisco.” Still, Barkley persisted and said, “No, we did.” Green — who plays in San Francisco — also pushed back. Barkley couldn’t be swayed.

“You can’t even walk around down there!” Barkley said.

“Yes, you can walk around!” Green fired back.

“Yeah, with a bulletproof vest!” Barkley responded.

Barkley, according to Green, had no room to talk as someone who used to play for the Philadelphia 76ers.

“Chuck, you live in Philadelphia!” Green said.

“I live in Arizona,” Barkley said.
