Keyshawn Johnson Goes Off on NFL Star For High-Speed Crash and Fleeing the Scene: ‘The Stupidest Thing Ever, Man!’
Keyshawn Johnson was furious with Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice after news broke that he was connected to a street race ending in a high-speed crash.
On Sunday, The Dallas Morning News reported that police were searching for Rice in connection to a major accident that occurred Saturday. According to police, a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini were speeding on the highway when both drivers lost control. The Lamborghini caused a “chain reaction” that resulted in four other cars getting hit.
Police later obtained dashcam footage of the accident.

The occupants of both the Corvette and the Lamborghini fled the scene of the accident. It is believed one of the cars is registered to or leased to Rice.
Four people sustained minor injuries, police said, with two going to the hospital.
Johnson, who knows Rice personally, was extremely upset by the news.
“This is unfortunate for Rashee because I know him and he’s old enough to know better,” Johnson said of the 23-year-old on Undisputed, “so I’m pissed at him. I’ve already texted him. He ain’t gonna respond to me because my text was not nice. I spent plenty of time with him last year before the draft, doing the draft process, doing the whole thing… Coming out into the draft, he had at SMU some little red flag here, a little red flag there. He wasn’t the squeakiest, cleanest guy going, which is why he probably fell to the second round instead of the late first, “Johnson said.
While Johnson emphasized that the public still doesn’t have all the information, he was still disappointed by the fact that Rice’s name was connected to such a serious incident in any way.
“His name is linked to the vehicle because of the registration,” Johnson continued, “so I’m hoping somebody stole his car. I don’t know. I have no idea; but if he’s involved in it, it’s the stupidest thing that he ever could be involved in. Driving fast cars and racing somebody is the stupidest thing ever, man!”
On Monday, Rice’s attorney issued a statement ensuring that Rice was “cooperating with local authorities” and that he would “take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.’
