‘Made Up Media BS!’ Philly Sports Radio Legend Trashes His Own Station’s ‘Agenda’ Against the Hometown Eagles

Philadelphia sports radio legend Howard Eskin believes his own station has an agenda to fabricate controversy around the Eagles.

After a disappointing season that ended with the Eagles getting blown out by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs, there have been many questions about the future of the team. In addition to All-Pro center Jason Kelce considering retirement, it was also widely believed that head coach Nick Sirianni was at risk of being fired.

Then, due to star receiver A.J. Brown scrubbing his social media accounts and refusing to speak to the media, some started to believe that Brown was unhappy with the team and would be traded.

SportsRadio WIP was quick to fam the flames of those rumors. On Tuesday, the station posted a poll on Twitter asking fans if they would trade Brown for Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II. The fans overwhelmingly voted to keep Brown.

On Thursday, Eskin called it all “made up media BS.”

“I was Just on morning show @SportsRadioWIP and it’s clear they have an AGENDA which is by definition ‘an agenda is a plan,'” Eskin tweeted. “That’s regardless of fact. Talking about what they say is rumor about AJ Brown possibly being traded. A rumor from where. Nowhere. Made up media BS. #Eagles have no intention of trading Brown. NONE!”

Veterans of the team — including Kelce and defensive lineman Fletcher Cox — were quick to squash rumors that Sirianni could lose his job. Eskin claimed the station had no interest in acknowledging those endorsements.

“Then they gloss over the incredible endorsement of Jason Kelce of his HC Nick Sirianni,” Eskin continued. “As good as any I’ve ever heard. Since the show was on a mission to get Sirianni fired, Kelce’s comments (can listen to in previous tweet) are glossed over. Sirianni is a good HC. Why can’t we have great conversation with the truth or reality? Because that’s not the AGENDA.”

Eskin isn’t alone in that thinking. In a Wednesday episode of Up & Adams with Kay Adams, receiver DeVonta Smith accused the media of trying to break them up.
