WATCH: Mom of Miami Dolphins Receiver Tyreek Hill SCREAMS at a Fan for Taking Her Son’s Touchdown Ball from Her
A Miami Dolphins fan got an earful when he intercepted a touchdown ball that was meant for receiver Tyreek Hill’s mom.
In Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, the Dolphins hit the ground running in the second half with a 69-yard touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa to Hill. Immediately after scoring, Hill went straight to the stands to give the ball to his mom. Hill waited for his mother to walk down the steps and get close enough to him, then tossed the ball up to her.
Unfortunately, an overzealous fan who was between Hill and his mother snatched the ball out of the air as soon as it left Hill’s hand. His celebration for getting a game ball was short-lived as Hill’s mother — likely informing him who she was — began yelling at him until he relented and handed it over.
Speaking to the media after the game, Hill said his mother told him she wanted to be part of his touchdown celebration if she scored. He warned her that he’d likely get fined, but it didn’t change her mind.
“So when I scored, I was calling her down,” Hill said. “She was making her way down; and when I gave it to her, a guy took it. Somebody took it. But my mom, she’s a bulldog. She’s like, ‘Boy, give me my ball, boy.’ So you already know it. I got a flag for it, but it was worth it, though.
