Alyssa Farah Griffin Shocks The View Co-Hosts by Revealing Their Debates Have Left Her Crying Multiple Times

The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin shocked her co-hosts when she revealed this week that multiple debates on the show have left her in tears as the lone conservative voice at the table.

During a discussion on Gen Z and work-related anxiety, Griffin confessed that she’s cried alone during her time on The View at least half a dozen times.

“I cry at work, but I hide it, my bosses will never know,” Griffin said, surprising Sunny Hostin immediately, who had just said she’s never felt she has the “luxury” to cry at work.

Joy Behar pressed Griffin on what exactly she cries about, and Griffin claimed being the most right-wing voice on the show can be difficult.

“This is a very hard job to do, and I oftentimes have the only opinion that’s different at a table of five people,” she said.

Griffin became a permanent co-host on The View in 2022. Before that, she served in President Donald Trump’s first administration. While Griffin is the most conservative voice at The View table, she is also vocally opposed to the president. Like her co-hosts, she voted for then-Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Sara Haines also said she’s cried during work hours in her life, but she’d do so on a coffee run and it’ll be over personal issues.

Griffin made clear that she enjoys her job and “great hugs” from producer Brian Teta usually help.

“I would like to state, for the record, this is a great job and every time I’ve cried, Brian gives great hugs,” she said.

Whoopi Goldberg was as surprised as Hostin and Behar about the crying confession, and wrapped up the segment by offering support and saying no one should have the power to make anyone at the table leave in tears.

“The thing that shocks me, for me, is there is nothing that people should be able to do to you to make you cry,” she said, adding, “Nobody should be crying at this job.”
