Andy Samberg Will Host the 2015 Emmy Awards

Saturday Night Live alum, Brooklyn 99 star and The Lonely Island founder Andy Samberg has been tapped to host the 2015 Emmy Awards, airing September 20 on Fox.

He gave viewers an idea of what they can expect in a statement Thursday:

Buckle your seat belts, Emmy viewers! Like, in general you should buckle your seat belts in your car. In fact, even if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should buckle your seat belt. It can be dangerous on the road. Also, if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should strongly consider becoming one this year, because I’m hosting, and it’s gonna be a wild ride. So buckle your seat belts.

Last year, when Samberg’s former colleague Seth Meyers hosted the show on NBC, he appeared as Game of Thrones’ Joffrey alongside “Weird Al” Yankovic for what was easily the most bizarre moment of the night.
