Awkward? Ann Curry, Savannah Guthrie To Co-Anchor Today Weekend Coverage From Colorado

Ann Curry is stepping back into her old role for the weekend as co-anchor for NBC’s Today, in the aftermath of the Colorado movie theater shooting. Additionally, she’s anchoring a Dateline special tonight.

On Saturday and Sunday, Curry and Savannah Guthrie (Curry’s replacement) will be co-anchoring Today from Aurora, Colorado. Curry will also be appearing on NBC Nightly News tonight.

TV Newser notes that Matt Lauer is leaving for London tomorrow (where he’ll be anchoring Olympics coverage starting Monday).
