Aqua Buddha Crashes Rand Paul Debate (On Jimmy Kimmel Live)
The whole Rand Paul-Aqua Buddha thing came and went a few months ago, but it’s back in the news as the weeks until the election wind down.
Since Aqua Buddha was introduced in the most recent Kentucky debate, and in a campaign ad, the character of Aqua Buddha has taken on a life of its own.
Jimmy Kimmel, who admitted Rand Paul was probably just kidding about the whole Aqua Buddha thing, turned the character into a cartoon. And while playing a clip of the debate earlier this week, Aqua Buddha crashed the stage. There was even a catchy theme song:
Aqua Buddha, he’s Aqua Buddha.
He likes Nirvana, he talks to tuna.
Bow down, bow down.
To Aqua Buddha.
Once on the stage, Aqua Buddha commanded America to bow down before him, and turns Paul and his opponent Jack Conway into fish.
This is the 2010 election cycle. Side note: Rand Paul is heavily favored to win.
