Ari Melber: Mueller Today Forced Trump to ‘Eat His Own Words’ on Russian Interference

President Trump today tweeted “no collusion” in response to the Russia indictments, but Ari Melber said that the big news from Robert Mueller essentially forced the President to “eat his own words” on the issue of election meddling.

Trump has publicly raised questions about Russian interference ever since the campaign, and as recently as this week there’s been reporting he’s still unconvinced.

Well, tonight Melber said, “Mueller has done what no media fact-checker, what no critic, what no rival candidate has done––he’s forced Trump to eat his own words and give up on the conspiracy theory that Trump had been saying.”

He ran a montage of Trump questioning Russian interference before bringing up Trump’s tweet today on Russia’s “anti-US campaign,” which Melber took as “him admitting he was wrong this whole time.”
