Charleston Judge Speaks to Fox: ‘It’s Best to Learn How to Forgive’

SC judgeThe judge who presided over Dylann Storm Roof‘s bond hearing today explained to Fox News why he allowed the church shooting’s victims’ families to make remarks directly to Roof.

Judge James Gosnell said, “I set the tone of my court. It’s my courtroom. I take control over it, and I conduct business within the scope of the law.”

He also talked about how much the community is hurting since the shooting and said, “It’s good to grieve, it’s best to learn how to forgive.”

Gosnell got some heat earlier today for referring to Roof’s family as victims too, in a room with the nine grieving families, especially from CNN’s Don Lemon.
