Chinese Video Responds to Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘Kill Everyone in China’ Bit

A seemingly innocuous video of children discussing politics has created some major problems for Jimmy Kimmel Live since it first aired on the late night show last month. A suggestion by one of the children that the U.S. “kill all the people in China” to solve our debt problem sparked outrage that led to an apology from ABC and Jimmy Kimmel himself.
Now, a Chinese marketing firm has responded with a “humorous” video of its own, taking aim at Kimmel’s bit by pointing out, with brutal logic, how killing “all the people in China” would not actually solve America’s debt crisis. The video, titled “Undying Chinese” explains how that nation’s people have survived over the generations and therefore “can’t be killed by anyone.”
The video goes on to explain how Americans’ clothes, shoes and, yes, Apple products, are all made in China, so if we killed “all of the people in China” we wouldn’t “get our Christmas gifts on Christmas morning.” Moreover, the U.S. would have to spend so much money to accomplish the ridiculous goal that our debts would end being “much huger than now.”
So even if the U.S. decided to listen to the young boy who suggested killing every single Chinese person on Jimmy Kimmel Live, as this video explains, it wouldn’t even achieve the stated goal. Got it?
