Chris Matthews Wonders if There Are Any Black People at Trump’s ‘Redneck Riviera’

Chris Matthews was as interested as everyone else to see what Donald Trump would say at his event tonight in Mobile, Alabama. During the beginning of Hardball, Matthews checked in on the event with NBC’s Katy Tur, where he asked an interesting question about the audience.

“Are there any black people there?”

Tur did a quick turnaround to check, but saw nothing but white people among the crowd, which Matthews described as “redneck riviera.”

From there, Matthews and Tur discussed Trump’s fly-by in his plane, the reasons for his appeal to voters, and how he has managed to change the nature of the 2016 campaign in general.
