CNN Guest on Larry Wilmore: Imagine If Someone Called Bernie the ‘K Word’

CNN’s Don Lemon tonight tackled the controversy over Larry Wilmore‘s White House Correspondents Dinner routine––and no, not the one involving Lemon flipping him off.

No, Wilmore ended his speech by saying, “Yo, Barry. You did it, my n*gga.” SiriusXM host Joe Madison responded by asking, “Can you imagine if the K word would have been used to describe Bernie Sanders?”

He said the n-word needs to finally be put to rest and was absolutely saddened by how “after 8 years of this dinner, that’s the last word that this distinguished group of people will hear in relation to this president.”

April Reign dismissed the concerns and said they shouldn’t give too much credence to “the white gaze.” and it was pretty clear Obama himself “appreciated what Larry Wilmore said.”

They got more heated towards the end of the segment when Madison declared that he’s sick of anyone using the n-word and said that many young people don’t even know what the “K word’ is because Jews dismissed it out of hand.
