CNN’s Crossfire Canceled, Again
It is with a heavy heart that I bring readers this report: CNN’s Crossfire has, once again, been canceled.
Though I offered my best advice on how CNN could salvage the show, which was on hiatus for the last few months, it appears executives had already made up their mind.
TVNewser reports that the show’s four co-hosts — Stephanie Cutter, S.E. Cupp, Newt Gingrich and Van Jones — will remain at CNN as contributors and that much of the production staff was absorbed into other programs.
The show made its second debut in late 2013 after it had been pulled off the air eight years ago.
It was recently reported that CNN would be terminating 300 positions within the network. Unguarded with Rachel Nichols was also canceled on Wednesday.
