CNN’s Tapper Thinks KKK Interview Flap Will Help Trump Win GOP Nomination

tapperCNN’s Jake Tapper conducted the Donald Trump interview yesterday where the GOP frontrunner refused to disavow support from ex-KKK leader David Duke, and he thinks the flap will actually help him.

Yesterday morning, Tapper repeatedly confronted Trump about that endorsement. Trump said he just doesn’t know enough about David Duke and the groups involved (the KKK) to make a judgment, telling Tapper he would have to look into it more.

On CNN this afternoon, Tapper told his guests, “I think that my interview with Donald Trump yesterday will actually help him win the nomination.”

Ramesh Ponnuru doubted that would be the case, despite the excuse-making from some.

Is Tapper suggesting that Trump voters are okay with the KKK comments?
