Conservatives Hail Sarah Palin as Having Predicted Russia Invading Ukraine
As the new Ukrainian government alleges it’s under invasion from Russia, conservatives stateside have hailed former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as having accurately predicted the current crisis back in 2008.
“After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia,” Palin told Foreign Policy in 2008, “Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.”
Conservative blog WeaselZippers reminded its readers of that famous quote. Breitbart took the opportunity to make a martyr of the former governor for having been mocked in 2008:
