Dem Congressman: Rudy Giuliani Sounds Like a ‘Crazy Old Uncle’

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D- VA) said today that Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani sounds like a “crazy old uncle.”

Giuliani today once again walked back one of his public statements, this time concerning the Trump Tower Moscow discussions timeline, saying his remarks were “hypothetical” and not based on conversations with the President.

After talking about Michael Cohen‘s upcoming testimony, Wolf Blitzer asked Connolly about Giuliani “shifting his story multiple times.”

“It’s been a remarkable thing to see,” Connolly responded, “and one wonders if everything’s all right with Rudy Giuliani or is this a Machiavellian plan to cede the ground for a huge retreat.”

When Blitzer pressed him to elaborate, Connolly said, “He sounds like a crazy old uncle, in contradicting himself and in in admitting things for the White House and Giuliani have steadfastly, absolutely denied.”
