Dem. Senator Gives Joint Interview With Paul Ryan on NBC, Declines Fox Request (UPDATED)
You insatiable political junkies who watched both Paul Ryan (R-WI) interviews this morning might have noticed something different between the chat on NBC’s Meet the Press and the one on Fox News Sunday: namely, the presence of Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), the Democrat who partnered with Ryan on the thus-far successful budget negotiations.
FNS host Chris Wallace told his audience that Murray declined to appear on the network.
Murray, who is chair of the Senate Budget Committee, held a joint press conference with Ryan earlier in the week, and appeared with him on NBC, where they both lauded their compromise as an augur of future cooperation between parties.
UPDATE 10:40 a.m.: According to POLITICO, Murray’s office said the Senate’s voting schedule made her unavailable for Fox’s interview.
