Erin Burnett Thoroughly Debunks Biden Assassinating Trump Conspiracy Promoted on Fox News and Right-Wing Media

Erin Burnett opened her show on Wednesday night focused on the growing conspiracy that the Biden DOJ was planning on assassinating former President Donald Trump.

Burnet reported how Trump and his allies were “absurdly” accusing President Biden of trying to assassinate the former president before citing an email from Trump’s team called the “Palm Beach Playbook,” which comes from the website DonaldJTrump.com.

“The very first line under Top News also claims that ‘deadly force was authorized against Trump during an FBI raid at Mar a Lago. That, you know, the intent of that being a possible assassination,'” Burnet said.

Burnett then put together the timeline of how this narrative came to be — starting with a WABC radio interviewer who told Trump about the “deadly force” component of the FBI material to Trump. She followed with a stunning montage detailing how this false narrative grew, featuring Steve Bannon, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rep. Paul Gosar, and even a Fox News Jesse Watters segment.

Burnett then detailed precisely what was at play here and how the entire narrative was based on newly unsealed documents related to the 2022 search of Mar-A-Lago:

Now, among those documents was something called a law enforcement operations order, which explains what agents are allowed to do and what they’re allowed to bring with them. In this case, when they searched Mar-A-Lago. So what’s in there is boilerplate language from the Justice Department manual about the use of force. It’s boilerplate. It’s everywhere. When the officer has a reasonable belief that the subject of such force poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the officer or to another person. The language is standard, and it is directly from the department’s manual.

She concluded this portion of the segment by citing former FBI Deputy Operations Chief Rob D’Amico, who told OutFront that the language included in these documents is “standard language for every single operation, bar none.”

“Boilerplate, every single situation,” Burnett repeated for effect. “What Trump is saying is just a disinformation campaign highlighting it for people who don’t know. Now, a disinformation campaign about a case that Trump is trying to stop from ever coming to trial.”

Later in the segment, she brought on former FBI Supervisor D’Amico, who flatly called the narrative outrageous:

“If people weren’t taking it seriously, I’d find it humorous because it’s so outrageous,” D’amico explained. “It’s so over-the-top that the FBI would assassinate anyone. It’s one of those things that every cop has in it. Every cop has a triage plan. Every cop has a map to the trauma center. If you look at every single operation that the FBI has done, you’re going to find the exact same thing in each one of them.”

D’Amico further explained that the FBI had undoubtedly coordinated with the Secret Service and knew full well that Trump was in the New York City area at the time of the raid. Hence, the notion that the FBI was trying to assassinate Trump is just an absurd and false conclusion.
