‘Expect To Hear More About Those Screaming Black Ladies’: CNN Host Makes Prediction About Trump Sending National Guard to Chicago

CNN’s Victor Blackwell wasn’t quite buying President Donald Trump’s claim that Black women and Chicago are “screaming” for the National Guard to fight crime in the city.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Friday, Trump, who deployed the National Guard to Washington, D.C. this month ostensibly to fight crime, said Chicago and New York are next. For good measure, he added that Black women in Chicago are especially clamoring for the Guard.  Donning a red hat that read, “Trump Was Right About Everything,” the president claimed Chicagoans “are screaming for us to come.”

“They’re wearing red hats, just like this one,” he alleged. “But they’re wearing red hats. African American ladies, beautiful ladies, are saying, ‘Please, President Trump, come to Chicago, please.’ I did great with the Black vote, as you know. And they want something to happen.”

On Saturday’s First of All on CNN, Blackwell said that “you’ll need to take him at his word for this one.” He then aired Trump’s “African American ladies” remark.

So, if President Trump’s crime crackdown does turn to Chicago next, expect to hear more about those screaming Black ladies.”

Trump has already deployed the National Guard to the nation’s capital and Los Angeles, and in each case, it was against the wishes of city leaders.

Earlier this month, the president indicated that Chicago is in line for soldiers at some point.

“If we need to, we’re gonna do the same thing in Chicago, which is a disaster,” Trump said. “We have a mayor there who is totally incompetent. He’s an incompetent man, and we have an incompetent governor there.”
