Fmr. Navy Seal On Fox: Obama Skipping Rally Has ‘Marginal’ Effect
Former Navy Seal Carl Higbie doesn’t see the big deal in President Barack Obama (or other high-level official) skipping Sunday’s Paris Unity Rally, and pointed out on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning that the U.S. is doing more in the war on terror than many of the nations that were represented in Paris.
Higbie agreed with Fox host Bob Beckel, who said yesterday that the rally was a “waste of time” considering that the U.S. was shouldering the way on terror.
“He’s got a point,” Higbie said. “The effect of Obama not going to this rally is marginal when you look at the global prospect of ISIS and the expanse of terror.”
Higbie criticized France and others for their “marginal effort” against violent extremism. “You have a lot of countries like the U.A.E., Algeria, Egypt that are here supporting France for an essentially ‘free speech rally’ and yet they don’t agree with that in their own country,” he said. “Turkey is buying oil from ISIS. Where are we wrong?”
