Former MSNBC Host Ed Schultz Blows Up at David Brock on CNN
Cable news junkies, prepare to be confused: former MSNBC host Ed Schultz appeared on CNN this morning to talk about Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders with Brian Stelter and David Brock. And boy, did they get into it…
Schultz, currently an RT America host and big Sanders fan, dismissed Sanders’ big South Carolina loss and said Clinton’s very vulnerable in a lot of upcoming states.
Brock, head of a pro-Clinton Super PAC, went after Sanders and his many surrogates for engaging in personal attacks on Clinton, crying to Schultz, “You’re doing the Republicans’ work!”
Schultz blew up and called Brock out for running a Super PAC that funnels lots of money into backing Clinton. He said Clinton’s only more progressive now because of Sanders, and when Brock asked if he could speak, Schultz curtly said, “No.”
The interview ended with Stelter asking Schultz about working for a Russian government-owned media outlet. Schultz says he’s had “tremendous freedom there” to do what he wants.
