Fox Biz Reports: Jon Stewart’s Brother Gets Hefty Buyout to Leave NYSE
On Tuesday afternoon, Fox Business Network’s Charlie Gasparino reported that Larry Leibowitz, brother of The Daily Show‘s Jon Stewart and COO of NYSE Euronext, has received a heft $10M+ “golden parachute” as part of his departure from the firm.
According to Gasparino, Leibowitz will leave the NYSE’s parent company at year’s end, receiving a package worth around $17 million that includes $6 million from a “change of control” provision in the contract — NYSE has been bought by ICE — and $11 million worth of stocks he accrued throughout his tenure:
