Fox & Friends Hits ‘Mainstream Media’ For Blaming Govt Dysfunction Solely On House GOP
Yesterday, we shared with you a poll that showed just how much everyone dislikes Congress. The crew at Fox & Friends also mentioned that poll on Wednesday morning, then segueing into a discussion about why the “mainstream media” blames inaction on House Republicans, while ignoring the same flaws that exist within the Senate and White House.

“I’m going to go to bat for Congress for a second because you can’t win,” Brian Kilmeade remarked. “I wish the president would show some flexibility. But when Congress shows flexibility, they’re weak. When they don’t, they’re recalcitrant. How can they win?”
Gretchen Carlson responded saying she understood Kilmeade’s point but she thought that people felt the fiscal cliff deal wasn’t a true compromise because the president didn’t have to compromise anything. Obama would argue, Kilmeade said, that he did because he raised the threshold for tax hikes.
“Keep in mind though,” Steve Doocy chimed in, “you’ve got the mainstream media beating the drum all day long about how the Republican-led House is standing in the way.”
“You never hear about the Senate…in the mainstream media — about how they haven’t passed a budget in three-and-a-half years, something like that,” he continued. “It’s all about those darn Republicans in the House versus the president of the United States.”
