Fox Host Charles Payne GUSHES Over Trump’s Garbage Truck Stunt: ‘Another Stroke of Genius’

Fox News’s Charles Payne gave former President Donald Trump a rave review on Thursday for riding around in a garbage truck.

Trump spoke to reporters from the cab of a garbage truck in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday after President Joe Biden called Trump supporters “garbage.” Biden later clarified his comment. The former president – who has said the U.S. is “like a garbage can” became of immigrants – has been using Biden’s gaffe against Vice President Kamala Harris on the campaign trail.

“How do you like my garbage truck?” Trump said while wearing a fluorescent utility dress. “This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”

Guest-hosting Thursday’s Your World on Fox News, Payne praised the campaign stunt while interviewing South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

“The McDonald’s situation,” he said, referring to another Trump photo op, where the ex-president pretended to work at the fast food restaurant. “The mainstream media lost their minds over it. It was extraordinarily effective in terms of clicks, social media, young people, all the things it generated. And then of course, the garbage truck – just another stroke of genius. I’m not sure who’s coming up with all these, but someone’s getting a bonus, I’m sure.”

Payne asked Noem, “How does that, in your opinion, translate into the general public?”

“Well, they like the fact he doesn’t think he’s better than they are,” Noem replied. “He truly doesn’t believe he’s better than the average American. He’s out there fighting for them. He’s often told the American people that Harris and her machine are coming after them. He’s just in the way.”

Hours after the garbage truck gambit, Payne’s Fox News colleague Sean Hannity hailed it as an “iconic, epic moment.”
