Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld: ‘Donald Trump Is the Best Thing That Ever Happened to The View‘
The hosts of Fox News’ The Five today knocked The View and Joy Behar in particular for overheated commentary on the SCOTUS fight.
Behar asked on The View why Trump should be allowed to pick a Supreme Court justice “when he is under investigation.”
Kennedy said Behar is using an “exaggerated emotionalist approach” and going to “hysterics,” while Jesse Watters said the left is trying to “caricature” Brett Kavanaugh as some kind of “demon.”
Watters argued that he’s not even sure “Joy Behar believes what she says” and that she just makes comments like that “for applause.”
Dana Perino said the Democrats may want to “lose quickly” here and “move on.”
Greg Gutfeld, meanwhile, took the opportunity to reflect on the current state of The View:
“Donald Trump is the best thing that ever happened to The View. Without Donald Trump, it would just be a knitting circle in hell. An unfunny version of the Golden Girls. He’s given ’em so much fodder. I admire Joy so much, you have to be superhuman to be this distraught all the time… They are just screaming about Trump. I gotta tell you, he’s gotta be doing something right if he’s creating that much renewable energy. I mean, they can fuel a power plant.”
“Outrage is a great renewable energy,” Gutfeld joked.
Juan Williams said in response, “I’ve never seen anything like that among conservatives…”
