Trump Goes After Lisa Page for Defying Subpoena: Worked on ‘Perhaps the Most Tainted and Corrupt Case EVER’

President Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday about former FBI agent Lisa Page‘s to testify before Congress.

“Wow, but is anybody really surprised!” Trump said of the decision. “Together with her lover, FBI Agent Peter Strzok, she worked on the Rigged Witch Hunt, perhaps the most tainted and corrupt case EVER!”

Though Strzok and Page’s texts are now the stuff of legend, Page’s lawyer said that she is defying the subpoena because she didn’t have the chance to review the documents presented to Congress, including those texts, CNN reports.

As Page lawyer Amy Jeffress said in a statement obtained by CNN:

“Lisa and I went to the FBI today to review the materials that were previously produced to Congress relating to her proposed interview, but after waiting for more than three hours, we were not provided with any documents. We have asked the Committees to schedule another date that would allow sufficient time for her to prepare. The Committees have not honored this request. As a result, Lisa is not going to appear for an interview at this time.”

But back to the tweet for a second. Trump wrote that Page is an “Ex-FBI LAYER,” which is not a thing. What did he mean? Lawyer? Lover? Liar? Covfefe?

Luckily, Donald Trump Jr. came to the rescue to clear things up for us:

…or not.

UPDATE 6:55 PM: Trump tweeted yet again about Page’s “lover” Peter Strzok, asking how the investigation could proceed with him involved:
