Fox News Guest Loses It on Ex-Clinton Aide Philippe Reines: ‘You Can’t Answer The Question You Fraud!’
“I feel like I’ve got two gladiators in the ring,” Fox News host Ed Henry said at the outset of a segment in which former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino absolutely lost his mind on ex-Clinton aide Philipe Reines over the Democratic National Committee’s new lawsuit.
The DNC filed a lawsuit on Friday against Russia, the Trump campaign and Wikileaks for an “all-out assault on our democracy” as well as “hurting the Democratic Party and electing Donald Trump.”
Bongino first contended that it was the Clinton campaign that colluded with the Russians (not Trump!) because of the funding of the Steele Dossier.
Reines ignored his claims, instead defending the DNC’s lawsuit and arguing that the U.S. government has “abrogated its responsibility” to defend against future attacks from Russia.
“Notice what Philipe did there, he avoided what I said,” Bongino replied. “Yes the Russians did try to influence the election — through Hillary Clinton!”
“Dan, she’s gone now, what are we doing?” Reines replied.
Bongino then accused Reines of ducking his questions, and demanded to know why the DNC refused to turn over its servers to the FBI for its investigation.
When Reines said he didn’t know, Bongino lost it, shouting, “You can’t answer the question you fraud!”
“Here’s what I know, please let me talk for a minute,” Reines pleaded.
“You know nothing!” Bongino fired back.
At one point Reines had to adjust his earpiece and ask Henry, “Ed, tell me when Dan stops yelling.”
“He cannot answer the question!” Bongino shouted again, after asking Reines if Hillary “worked with the Russians.”
“Dan I can’t hear myself think,” Reines said.
Reines contended that Clinton advisers did not work with Christopher Steele on the Trump dosser, to which Bongino muttered “this guy’s a liar.”
“I can’t hear what he’s saying yelling over himself,” Reines said at the end of the battle, concluding that “no one in the Clinton campaign had anything to do with Christopher Steele.”
“He’s just lying,” Bongino concluded.
As far as Bongino’s claims that the Clinton campaign “colluded” with the Russians, he’s a little off the mark. The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler goes in depth on the veracity of those claims here.
