Fox News Host Tucker Carlson Declares CNN ‘State Media’: ‘Relentless Cheerleading’ For ‘The Ruling Class’
Fox News host Tucker Carlson opened fire on CNN Monday night as he wailed about the network’s “neverending shilling for the ruling class.”
Carlson discussed the latest effort by conservative provocateur James O’Keefe and Project Veritas to smear CNN. O’Keefe, who is known for planting fake sexual abuse claims and other botched shenanigans, released a series of hidden camera videos which he’s holding up as proof that the network is biased against President Donald Trump.
Carlson claimed O’Keefe’s content exposes the “clearly partisan objectives” of Jeff Zucker since the CNN president is recorded advising his “minions” to focus on coverage Trump’s impeachment. A little reminder: America is currently in the middle of a political firestorm where the president’s job might be at stake, thanks to an impeachment inquiry.
Carlson snarked over O’Keefe’s exposé (I guess that’s what he calls it), saying “we are laughing because how can you not laugh?” He concluded that some people at CNN are committed to good journalism, “but the big boss, Jeff Zucker, won’t allow it.”
“Just do what Jeff Zucker says, whether it’s true or not,” Carlson said. “That’s not journalism of course, that’s the definition of state media. Relentless cheerleading. Relentless never-ending shilling for the ruling class.”
