Fox Ambushes Sebelius on the Street Hours Before Obamacare Plans Go Live

On the day before new Affordable Care Act health insurance plans are set to go into effect, Fox News sent a producer out onto the street to ask Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius some questions.

Sebelius said she was “thrilled” that million of Americans are going to have health insurance under the law starting on January 1st. “It should be a great new year for lots of families across America,” she said.

Asked if she “anticipates any hiccups,” Sebelius admitted that she is “sure there will be some issues” but added, we have done a lot of outreach with pharmacies and doctors and hospitals and consumers and helped to make the transition as smooth as possible.”

As for Sebelius’ new year’s resolution? “Lots of people getting good health care in 2014.”

The reporter’s microphone noticeably did not have a Fox News logo on it, so it is unclear whether Sebelius knew she was speaking to a network that hosts some of Obamacare’s biggest critics.
