Fox’s Brit Hume Addresses Greta Van Susteren’s Departure While Anchoring Her Old Show
The sudden departure of Greta Van Susteren at Fox News resulted in longtime network star Brit Hume taking the reins of her On the Record from now through the election. And Hume ended tonight by addressing her departure.
Hume previously anchored the program right before Van Susteren’s––Special Report––from when Fox News began in 1996 to 2008, when Bret Baier took over.
At the end of tonight’s show, Hume reported on not only Van Susteren’s departure, but her comment that “Fox has not felt like home to me for a few years.”
Hume said, “I count Greta a friend and I’m sorry to see her go… She made a great contribution and we will miss her.”
