Fox’s Kurtz: Is Holder ‘Afraid’ to Get Tough Questions from Fox?
Eric Holder is giving interviews to lots of media outlets––CNN, NBC, and Politico among then––but he’s skipping Fox News. Fox isn’t happy about that, and made as much clear in a statement yesterday.
And tonight, Fox’s Howard Kurtz continued the pile-on. He said Holder clearly doesn’t want to be pressed on issues like Ferguson, his relationship with Al Sharpton (Politico did ask Holder about him, for the record), and the “outrageous assault on press freedom.”
But beyond that, Kurtz observed, “it’s a sign of confidence” when politicians get tough questions, so for Holder to skip out on Fox, he must be “afraid of Bret Baier” or something. He pointed out that President Obama has done Fox interviews before, so it says a lot about Holder that he’s “backing away from this opportunity.”
