Frank Luntz Reveals Crucial Demo That Could ‘Propel’ Harris to Victory

Republican pollster Frank Luntz said Friday night that he does not believe there are any undecided voters left in the key battleground states that will decide the election, which he said hinges now on young women.

If those voters turn out heavily, Luntz told CNN’s Anderson Cooper, he expects to see Vice President Kamala Harris win a decisive victory next week.

Luntz cited the final NPR/Marist poll of the race, which showed Harris leading former President Donald Trump in the so-called “blue wall” Great Lakes states within the margin of error.

On AC360, Cooper asked the focus group expert, “So, Frank, we mentioned at the top of the program the numerous polling showing Harris leading Trump in so-called blue wall states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, all within the margin of error. Do you take anything away from that?”

Luntz replied:

I take that it’s impossible that it’s so close and that it is impossible to figure out the mindset. To me, I’m not looking as much at the polling anymore because that’s determined. I don’t believe there are any more undecideds. There are still non-committeds, There are still persuadable. But if you’re undecided, you reject both candidates. You don’t like them. You’re not going to end up voting for them.

To me, I’m trying to figure out what the turnout’s going to be. And the group that I’m watching more than any other are young women. If they come out in significant numbers, if they make a bigger percentage of the overall voter pool, then that is great news for Harris. That may propel her.

While Luntz said the voting bloc he is watching the closest are young women, he told CNN that he is also closely watching Hispanic voters.

“The other group that I’m watching, the Latinos, some of that has been muddied over what happened in Madison Square Garden earlier this week,” Luntz said. “But the Latino population is voting in good numbers in the Western states, and that’s critical in Arizona and Nevada. What they do could also be decisive.”
