‘Get Over It!’ GOP Rep. Snaps Back at Blitzer over Netanyahu Invite

Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz was on CNN today and things got heated when Wolf Blitzer pressed him on whether inviting Benjamin Netanyahu to speak to Congress without first consulting the Obama administration has damaged the relationship between the United States and Israel.

Blitzer asked if John Boehner should have had the “courtesy to tell the White House what he was planning on doing.” Chaffetz insisted he did, Blitzer shot back that he only did after the invite was made public, and Chaffetz said, “We’re talking about semantics.”

When Blitzer pressed further, Chaffetz said, “Get over it! Get over it, he’s gonna come here and speak to a joint session of Congress.” He completely backed up Boehner and dismissed the “couple” of Democrats who aren’t planning to show up.
