On Friday, Vance and President Donald Trump attacked Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky by accusing him of not being thankful for U.S. aid to his country amid the Russia invasion. Moreover, Trump claimed that Zelensky was “gambling with World War III.”
Shortly after the fight, Zelensky was asked to leave the White House without signing the rare Earth minerals deal, which was the whole purpose of his visit to Oval Office.
Vance faced criticism for his role during the argument because the tense exchange in the Oval Office started with the vice president attacking Zelensky.
