GOP Rep. Rips Paper in Half as He Goes After Hillary for Ignoring Security Requests

roskam hillaryRepublican Congressman Peter Roskam really grilled Hillary Clinton tonight over overlooked requests for security at the Benghazi consulate, even dramatically tearing sheets of paper in half to show what happened to those requests.

He repeatedly pressed Clinton over how security requests were “torn up” and how concerns by Ambassador Chris Stevens went unheard by Clinton’s inner circle. Clinton said, “That’s just not true.”

She said Stevens was in contact with some of her advisers, but Roskam insisted that they never broke into her “inner circle.”

But Roskam went much further when he read a glowing statement Clinton made about Stevens a while back, suggesting she should have added things like “we broke with with him” or “he was denied the security” he needed or that State was “distracted” by other things.

Clinton scolded him and called it a “disservice” to make that statement.

Roskam pressed Clinton earlier today on taking credit after the attack.
