Greta Van Susteren Confronts Santorum For Saying Fox News ‘Shills’ For Mitt Romney

A while ago, a frustrated Rick Santorum argued that Fox News was “shilling” for his rival Mitt Romney. At the time, Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade didn’t take it so well. Neither, we found out tonight, did Greta Van Susteren, who gave the candidate a “good-hearted jab” for making the claim.

“You’ve been awesome,” Santorum replied to the question, after being told jokingly that the Romney campaign was hoping he could help them get better press on Fox himself. “You and Sean Hannity have been exemplar.” He noted instead that he meant the daytime side– mostly the non-opinion side– and added, “I’m not going to be whining about this, it’s the reality.” “We’ve overcome a lot in this race and we’re on our way to victory tonight, we’re on our way to victory in this election,” he ended with some optimism. Van Susteren then laughed and told him he was one of many voices pinning some bias to Fox, even pro-Obama bias.
