Harris Faulkner: Sen. Warren’s Response to Trump’s Gillibrand Tweet ‘Not Elevating the Conversation’

After President Donald Trump attacked Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) this morning by claiming she begged him for political donations and “would do anything for them,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) responded on Twitter, accusing the president of trying to “slut-shame” Gillibrand.

Well, Fox News’ Harris Faulkner really thinks Warren should have stayed quiet.

During an Outnumbered discussion on Trump going after Gillibrand, Faulkner presented Warren’s tweet and refused to say the word slut, stating that she “will not say it.” After co-host Marie Harf praised Gillibrand’s response for saying she will not be silenced by Trump, Faulkner declined to address the president’s tweet — instead going after Warren.

“Let me ask it to you this way — when you hear the other women chime in and you hear the language that Senator Warren uses,” Faulkner said, addressing fellow host Kennedy. “That is not elevating the conversation, that is not taking the high road.”

Kennedy agreed with Faulkner as she claimed Warren couldn’t accuse Trump of “using an innuendo” when she is using the same language. Adding that it seems we are in a race to out-shock each other, Kennedy stated that Trump doesn’t appear to realize he’s president when he’s “analyzing the political landscape like an armchair politician.”

After Harf went off on Trump, calling him a “jerk and a bully” and saying that this isn’t behavior we’d expect from a president, Faulkner said “we’ll move on” and went to another topic.
