‘I Don’t Have Any Friends!’ Trump’s Deputy FBI Director Bongino Reveals More About His Personal Life Since Taking the Job
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino shared more details Wednesday about how his personal life has been affected by the new job.
Last week, Bongino returned to his old stomping grounds on Fox News when he appeared on Fox & Friends. During the interview, the deputy director provided an in-depth look at how his life has changed since assuming the role. President Donald Trump appointed him in February.
According to Bongino, the job has been “tough” on his family, and he “gave up everything” for it. He also admitted that he didn’t like the job, but he took it because it was important.
During a Wednesday night appearance on Hannity, Bongino vowed to root out corruption as the FBI deputy director. In doing so, he claimed he had no friends outside of Sean Hannity and his wife.
“If you are engaged in behavior and you know what you’re doing, we’re gonna find you,” Bongino said. “I promise. No one is going to get off. The days of selecting and putting your partisan bias on and taking care of your friends — those days are over. You know what, Sean? I don’t have any friends. I don’t want any friends. Well, maybe outside of you and couple of — I don’t care. I didn’t come here for the money. I didn’t come here to make friends. I don’t give a damn about friends. I don’t have any friends. I don’t want any friends. I got my wife, I got you, and I got a small crew of people.”
