James Comer Accuses Ex-FBI Director of ‘Trying to Jizz Up Some Type of Coup’ Against Trump

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) suggested that former FBI Director James Comey is trying to “jizz up” a coup d’état against President Donald Trump.

Trump famously fired Comey in 2017 before the director’s 10-year term was up.

On Thursday, Comey posted an inane and ill-advised Instagram photo of seashells arranged to read, “86 47,” a reference to Trump, the 47th president. Typically, to 86 someone means to throw someone out of a bar or restaurant. Conservatives, however, insisted Comey was endorsing violence against the president, who survived an assassination attempt in July in which he was shot in the ear. Secret Service agents questioned Comey about the post on Friday. Some Republicans have demanded that Comey be arrested.

Hours later on Fox News, Comer was asked about the drama by Jason Chaffetz.

“Do you think that this was just some accident that the… former FBI director didn’t know what he was posting up about Donald Trump being obviously number 47?” Chaffetz asked.

“My opinion of Comey is so bad, I don’t know that I could give a fair and balanced answer to that question, Jason,” Comer replied. The lawmaker went on to accuse Comey of being a liar.

“So, my confidence level in James Comey is so low, I could see that he made a simple mistake, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if that was intentional and they were trying to jizz up some type of coup or some type of insurrection,” Comer added.
