Jersey Shore Girls Get a Makeunder on Rachael Ray

The fashion rules at the Jersey Shore are scant and easy: leopard, leather, rips and studs are always in vogue. Bigger poufs are better poufs. Skirts and shorts must be small enough to display the lower curve of the derriere, push-up bras are mandatory (plus five if it has a matching g-string from Frederick’s of Hollywood), and if boobs and/or vagina do not escape at some point during the night, then we have a major fashion situation. Though Rob Patz will rest easy.

Rachael Ray, however, does not approve, and on today’s show, she and style-guru Gretta Monahan gave the girls of the Jersey Shore a make-under. The girls looked classy and mature. J-Woww looked stunning. And you had to wonder if you were previewing Jersey Shore: Mommy Edition. It’s all incredibly comforting, since that the cast is now apparently inspiring fashion trends.

But alas, the girls spent most of the time laughing at each other and bemoaning their outfits. “I feel like I’m going to a parent-teacher conference,” whined Snooki. She then proceeded to strip off half her outfit and prove that, when it comes to the Jersey Shore, skimpy will always be classy and tighter will always be phatter.
