NBC4 Reports Fatality In NY Snow Accident – Joan Rivers Asks “Who Cares” (Update)
New York’s local affiliate is dealing with a lot these days – taking breaks from non-stop Olympic coverage and trying to keep the Tri-state region abreast of the deadly snowfall. Yes, deadly, as it appears that the vast amounts of snow felled a tree near Central Park yesterday, tragically killing a man in his 50’s. Really sad, right? Not according to WNBC studio guest Joan Rivers, who was moved to shout “who cares?” after anchor Chuck Scarborough reported the casualty.
Update – a spokesman for WNBC points out that Joan couldn’t hear Chuck’s report because his broadcast isn’t piped into the studio. She thought they were just talking about the snow, not about the man who died.
