Joe Scarborough Openly Laughs at Kevin McCarthy’s ‘Pathetic’ Dodge of January 6th Call with Trump: ‘That is So Weak!’
Joe Scarborough could not contain his laughter after watching clips of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and his shifting positions on former President Donald Trump’s role in the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.
The leading member of the Republican caucus in the House of Representatives notably called out Trump for his role in the deadly insurrection led by his supporters, saying that he was responsible for the events on Jan. 6.
During a Sunday appearance on Fox News Sunday, anchor Chris Wallace pointedly asked about a reported profanity-laced phone call in which McCarthy insisted that Trump put out a message to stop the attack on the Capitol building
Wallace pressed McCarthy on reports, asking if Trump did say “I guess some people are more concerned about the election than you are,” on that phone call to which the California Congressman demurred. “My conversations with the president are my conversations with the president.”
Coming out of that clip Scarborough “Oh, my God — that is so weak!”
Mika Brzezinksi started to pivot to start the segment saying “House Minority Leader Kevin Mccarthy yesterday in contrast — in contrast to what he said a week…” to which Scarborough interrupted with “That’s so sad,” and later “so sad to be that weak.”
“But Joe, it works with this group of people that refuse to turn away from Trumpism,” Mika chimed in.
“I guess they like following weak, weak people. Weak, weak leaders.”
